At the Lakeside
Mimizan Lac Campsite welcomes you to the shores of Aureilhan, a place where the nature is still unspoiled.
With a surface area of 340 ha (approx 840 acres), the lake is the starting point for many (quite gentle) activities like walks, especially towards the Promenade Fleurie site, but also more physical activities accessible to all.
It is also the stomping ground of fishing enthusiasts (carp, pike, eels, pikeperch)
And for the more sportive: stand up paddle boarding, Hawaiian canoe, pedalo, electric boat, canoe, or even sailing.
Succumb to the charm of the gardens of the Promenade Fleurie, and then take a step back in time to discover the history of Mimizan by visiting its historic monuments like the Musée du Prieuré or the Ailes.
In Mimizan, as in the other surrounding villages (The Community of Communes of Mimizan groups together 6 villages – Aureilhan, Bias, Mézos, Pontenx les Forges and Saint Paul en Born), there are numerous markets rich in regional produce.
